Case studies
Seven Mile Bridge off Mill Creek Road had been structurally compromised in the spring runoff event of 2020. Work was funded through FEMA and consisted of demolition and disposal of existing bridge superstructure excluding piers and abutments. In addition to demolition 120 tons of additional rip rap was installed to armor abutments.
Work consisted of widening of Highway 331 at Ti’mine Way to accommodate two new turn lanes. The work consisted of; earthwork, installation of approximately 3,200 tons of aggregate base rock, 1,300 tons of asphalt concrete pavement, 100 feet of culvert, signage, pavement markings and significant traffic control on an Oregon Department of Transportation Highway.
The Queensgate Columbia Trail Roundabout required highly coordinated pours totaling 800 yards. Up to 20 employees worked swing shifts to minimize traffic impact. The completed project included a mile of new roadway, sidewalks, ADA ramps, bike ramps, stamp concrete, and 8 kinds of curbs.
